NALSAR offers MBA in court management
NALSAR, the premier institute for legal education in the entire South Asia, has now decided to introduce a unique MBA program called MBA in court management.
Admissions to this prestigious MBA program for the current academic year will be based on University’s own admission test which will be held on June 30 at Bangalore, Chandigarh, Cuttack, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Visakhapatnam.
The short-listed candidates will be called for group discussions and personal interview for final selection. The intake for the program will be 60 and the classes shall commence on August 1. Admissions for the MBA program will be done through CAT and GMAT from the next academic year.
The proposed course will have three major specialisations that are Court Management, Corporate Governance and Financial Services and Capital Markets. It will also have three minor specialisations in Marketing, Human Resource and Business Regulations.
Students can either take all the six courses from any major specialisation or decide to opt for four courses from the major specialisation and two courses from any other minor specialisations.
In 2012, the Supreme Court decided to have National Court Management (NCM) program in place to improve the efficiency of our judicial system.
Currently, there is no business school in India, offering court management as a specialisation in its MBA program. Though various High Courts have recently recruited MBAs as court managers but an ordinary MBA would not be able to contribute meaningfully to the justice management system.
